From the Mayor -April 2026
Thursday, Mar. 26th

Hello Villagers,

As spring settles gently over the Village, the landscape seems to wake up all at once. The soft greens return to the treetops, the first bursts of color push up through garden beds, and the longer days bring neighbors back outdoors to enjoy the fresh air. It’s a time when the natural beauty of our community is on full display, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy, connection, and anticipation for the months ahead.

That spirit will certainly be felt on April 4, when families gather on the Village Green for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event begins promptly at 11:30 a.m., and as always, the excitement builds quickly—once the children are released, the eggs disappear almost instantly. It’s a tradition that brings generations together, and we look forward to seeing everyone who joins in the fun.

March also marked an important milestone for the new AgingWell Committee, which kicked off its work with a Leadership Luncheon on March 18. The gathering featured thoughtful conversation about Village priorities, shared ideas for supporting residents as they age, and the kind of warm camaraderie that defines our community. The next luncheon will be held on April 15 and will feature Don Fellows, President of Chagrin Valley Gig. He will offer insights into the fiber‑optic and broadband initiatives currently underway—an important topic as the Village continues planning for the future.

Speaking of broadband, Chagrin Valley Gig continues to progress steadily throughout the Village. As the weather improves and outdoor work becomes easier, residents may notice crews moving more efficiently through neighborhoods. This infrastructure will serve the community for decades to come, and we appreciate everyone’s patience during the installation period.

Finally, with spring comes one of our most cherished cultural traditions—the annual Art Show, running this year from April 19 through May 3. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity, support local artists, and enjoy the diverse talent that enriches our Village each year. All residents are encouraged to stop in and experience the exhibition.

Warmly,

Steven L. Siemborski, Mayor
