Chagrin River Road resurfacing - Willoughby

ODOT will be Resurfacing Chagrin River Road, from Rogers Road to Chardon Road, in Willoughby, beginning on or about April 13, 2026.

Work on the above section of Chagrin River Road is expected to last approximately Six to Eight (6-8) Weeks.

Although no construction is planned within the Village of Gates Mills, traffic will be impacted due to a Detour that will utilize Chagrin River and Mayfield Roads. 

As we may have additional traffic, with some drivers unaware of our roads, along with project related construction vehicles in the area, we ask that you take caution when driving along the detour route.

For the first 4-6 weeks: Southbound Lanes CLOSED

Northbound Traffic into Willoughby, and through the construction zone, will be maintained at all times. 

Southbound traffic into the Village from Willoughby will be detoured as follows:  Chardon Road (SR6) - SOM Center Road (SR91) - Mayfield Road (SR322).

When Southbound Lanes have been resurfaced: (Second 4-6 weeks): Northbound Lanes CLOSED

Southbound traffic into the Village will be maintained at all times.

Northbound traffic out of the Village will be detoured.
